Update

So today i went to my first meeting at the Purcellville firehouse. As you all know i have been volunteering at leesburg for about a year now and i am now starting a dual membership with both houses. And it turns out that Purcellville is being much more easy going. The first thing that happens when i walk in is they say "lets get you some gear and a BLACKHAT!!!" For anyone who doesn't know a blackhat is a symbol that tells everyone you have completed all your required training and you are allowed to go interior to fight the fire as opposed to being a red hat which i still am at leesburg. As a redhat you are only allowed to fight outside the fire which gets kinda boring. I ran my first dumpster fire yesterday which was kinda fun because the protocal on it is to basically stand back and shoot a water cannon that at it until it goes out. It shoots 300 gallons per minute so it made quick work of the fire. It was one of those giant 30 yard contruction dumpsters so we were not allowed to get close until it cooled down. Work sucks lol i dont like my job but as my mom says "everyone has to pay their dues."
